Titre : Towards Efficient and Usable Keyword Spotting in Large Scale Environments
Résumé : Keyword Spotting is the task of identifying the zones from a document image which are likely to contain an instance of a queried word without explicitly recognizing nor transcribing its whole contents. Its application is particularly interesting in order to provide accessibility to cultural assets that are still locked in libraries or archives. Although being a quite mature research topic — the first keyword spotting methods applied to handwritten documents were published twenty years ago— most of the current methods are only interesting in the academic world, with virtually no application to real scenarios. In this seminar we will present our latest contributions in the field of keyword spotting emphasizing the scalability and usability of our proposals.
